Musty smell, spots on a wall, or allergies that will not quit? In Newberry's newer slab homes, mold almost always traces back to a leak you have not found yet. We find both and fix both.
Call (352) 698-7499Newberry's housing stock is mostly newer slab construction along the SR-26 corridor, and newer should mean fewer mold problems. In practice we see the opposite pattern: tight, energy-efficient homes hold humidity, and when a slab-era supply line or water heater drips slowly inside a wall, the moisture has nowhere to escape. Mold gets weeks of quiet growth inside the cavity before the first spot or musty smell shows up in a bedroom or closet.
Our Newberry mold jobs almost always start as leak investigations. We use moisture meters to find the source, contain the area so spores do not spread through the AC system, remove what cannot be saved, treat what can, and dry the cavity so it does not come back. If we only wiped the visible mold, you would be calling us again in a month.
North Florida humidity is the other half of the Newberry mold story. An oversized or struggling AC that cools fast without dehumidifying leaves indoor humidity high enough for mold to grow on closet walls and vents with no leak at all. We check humidity as part of every inspection and tell you honestly which problem you have, a leak, a humidity issue, or both. Estimates are free, and mold that follows a sudden covered leak is often part of the same insurance claim, see our insurance guide and our mold cost guide.
Free estimate. We find the source, not just the spots.
